A private kayak tour just for your group – a family, friends, a school class, a youth group or a company team. From small groups to 100+ kayakers, we plan the tour around your size and wishes.

Before we set off, your guide gives a short safety briefing and shows everyone how to paddle – no experience needed.

ON THE WATER

Private tours last at least three hours and follow the coast of Pula and southern Istria – the Muzil peninsula, islands, hidden coves and lesser-known spots you can only reach from the sea. Our experienced guides choose the best route and stops for your group and the sea conditions on the day, and share stories about Pula’s history and the life of the sea along the way.

SWIM, SNORKEL & CLIFF JUMP

We stop to swim and snorkel in clear water full of colourful fish, sea urchins, starfish and sea cucumbers – all snorkeling gear is provided. For the brave ones, there’s optional cliff jumping.

Your guide takes photos while you paddle, snorkel and jump, so the whole group can relive the adventure.

SAFE & EASY

Our sit-on-top double kayaks are stable, comfortable and easy for beginners. Life vests are always worn, and our certified guides carry all the safety equipment. Kids from 5 years paddle in a tandem kayak with an adult. It’s an active tour, easy to moderate, so a basic level of fitness helps.

Cancellation Policy

All kayak tours and private groups

Up to 24 hours before departure – change the date or time of your tour as many times as you like, subject to availability, or cancel with a 100% refund.
Less than 24 hours before departure – no refund is available and the date can no longer be changed.
No-show – if you do not show up for your tour, no refund is available.

If we cancel a tour because of weather, sea conditions or safety reasons, you can choose another date or a full refund.

Bookings made through our partners (for example GetYourGuide or Viator) follow the cancellation terms of the partner through which the booking was made.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.How long do the kayak tours take?All our tours take about three hours, from check-in until we are back at the launch site. Sea and weather conditions can sometimes change this a little.

2.How many kayakers are on each tour?Small groups of up to 18 kayakers. All tours need a minimum of 4 kayakers to run.

3.What kind of people go out on your kayak tours?FUN people! If you're not FUN, better keep Googling – these may not be the tours for you!

4.Is there an age limit?The minimum age to join our tours is 5. Children aged 12 and under paddle in one of our tandem kayaks together with an adult; from 13 they can paddle on their own.

5.Do I need any previous experience?No, you don't! Our kayaks are easy to use and very stable. Our experienced guides will show you step by step how to paddle and what to do. You'll quickly see why kayaking is our favourite way to explore the waters around Pula and southern Istria.

6.Do I need to be a good swimmer?It certainly helps, but it's not required. We do recommend that you feel comfortable in the water.

7.How fast do we paddle?We do all our kayak tours at a relaxed, slow pace.

8.How far do we kayak?On our tours we paddle about three nautical miles or less and spend about 1.5 to 3 hours on the water.

9.Do the tours require a high level of fitness?No, our tours are not designed to turn you into a pro kayaker. Occasionally we meet strong winds that need a bit more effort, and we try to avoid them whenever possible. Our guides carry all safety equipment and tow ropes in case a paddler finds it too difficult.

10.Do we need a reservation?Our kayak tours sell out quickly and places are limited, so we recommend booking in advance to be sure of your spot. Book online or call ahead.

11.How do we book a tour?Booking is simple! Book online on our website, or send us a request using our booking form or by email and we'll get back to you within 24 hours. For last-minute bookings simply give us a call or send us a WhatsApp message and we'll do our best to find you a place.

12.Can I pay cash or by card?When you book online, you pay by card through our secure booking system. Other bookings can be paid in cash or by bank transfer.

13.Are private kayak tours available?Yes, we often run private tours for families, friends, schools and companies, for groups of 100+ people. To ask about a private tour, please send us an email.

14.Where is the meeting point?The meeting point is at Valovine Beach, where our guides will be waiting for you. If you have any trouble finding us, please call us at +385 977 636 590.

15.Is there parking available?Yes, there is plenty of free parking as well as paid parking.

16.How early should we arrive before departure?Arriving 20 minutes early gives us plenty of time to check you in and get you ready for departure.

17.What if we arrive late? Can you wait for us?If the other kayakers are ready, we have to respect their time and cannot delay the departure by more than 5 minutes. If you're running late, please call us at +385 977 636 590. Depending on the circumstances, we may be able to wait for you.

18.Are there toilets at the launch site?Yes, there are clean toilets near the launch site, and we recommend using them before you get into the kayak.

19.What language do you speak on the tours?Our tours are in English. Don't worry if English is not your first language – our guides are very expressive!

20.How should we prepare and what should we bring?Bring a swimsuit, sun hat, sunscreen, beach towel, a bottle of water and a positive vibe! We'll take care of the rest.

21.What equipment do you provide?Everything you need for a fantastic experience: easy-to-use kayaks, paddles, life vests, dry bags and fun, knowledgeable guides.

22.What type of kayaks do you use?We mostly use tandem kayaks because they are very stable. On most tours guests share a tandem kayak, but a limited number of single kayaks are available on request.

23.Can we stow anything on the kayaks?Yes, we provide dry containers for your personal belongings, but space is limited, so please bring only what you need. You can leave your backpacks in our car for safekeeping.

24.Are drinks available on the tours?Drinks are not included, so please bring your own bottle of water.

25.Can we bring our own food?We don't allow alcoholic drinks on the tour. Your safety comes first, and alcohol takes away from the paddling experience. Save the drinks for after the tour!

27.Will we get seasick?Not likely. We stay very close to the coast and in the summer months the sea is usually very calm. Kayaks are in motion most of the time, though, and the last thing we want is for anyone to feel sick, so if the sea is too rough we'll move the tour to another day.

28.Can I bring my camera on the kayak tour?Yes, you can bring your camera, but we recommend a waterproof one so it doesn't get damaged.

29.Do you offer photos from the kayak tour?Our guides usually carry a waterproof camera and take photos during the tour. If you'd like the photos, ask your guide how to get them. Please note that photos cannot be guaranteed: your safety comes first, so sometimes the guide has to focus on helping kayakers in the water instead of taking photos.

30.What is your season?Kayak Adventure runs from April to the end of September, and Sunset Adventure from June to the end of August. Outside the peak months, tours depend on demand and sea conditions. During the peak (July & August) we run up to 6 tours a day.
